Multiple wrecks in Mid-Mo Thursday, Friday

Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Miller County.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the crash occurred on U.S. 54 at Lakeland Road around 7:30 a.m.

Lisa Patrick, 51, of Lake Ozark, attempted to cross 54 from Lakeland, entered the right lane of 54 and was struck by Terry McCubbin, 32, of Jefferson City.

Patrick, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for moderate injuries.

McCubbin, who was not wearing a seat belt, was treated for serious injuries.

Two children were treated for minor injuries after a vehicle struck the rear of their school bus Thursday morning in Miller County.

Patrol reports show this occurred around 7:47 a.m. on Route EE, just north of Blue Stem Road.

A vehicle driven by Maddy Lawson, 16, of Iberia, failed to yield to the bus, driven by Douglas Keith, 60, of Iberia, which was stopped in traffic to load children.

Neither driver had any reported injuries, but students Issac Lawson and Jacob Whittle, both 14 and both from Iberia, sought their own medical treatment for minor injuries.

One person was hurt in a two vehicle crash Friday morning in Osage County.

Patrol reports show the crash occurred at 10:05 a.m. on Route T, just west of Route P.

A hay bail fell from a pickup being driven by Duane Eisterhold, 56, of Freeburg. The hay bale struck a vehicle driven by Hailey Chipman, 16, of St. Elizabeth. She went off the right side of the road and came to rest in a ditch.

Eisterhold, who was not wearing a seat belt, had no reported injuries. Chipman, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for minor injuries.

One person was hurt in a two vehicle crash Friday morning in Cole County.

Patrol reports show the crash occurred around 11:35 a.m. on U.S. 54 Westbound at Route D.

Gigi Chase, 52, of Anchorage, Alaska, pulled into the path of Bailey Mittman, 22, of Springfield, and the two struck.

Mittman had no reported injuries, but Chase was treated for moderate injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
