The first round of judging for the 32nd annual Home Decorating Contest, sponsored by the News Tribune; the Jefferson City Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department; and Cottonstone Gallery and Frame Shop, has resulted in first- and second-place winners in each category in each Jefferson City ward.
All first-place winners will be judged again this week to choose one city winner in each of the six categories. Results from the second round of judging will be published in the Dec. 24 edition of the News Tribune.
A Tour of Lights map was published in the Dec. 12 newspaper. The map lists all entrants in the contest and can be used by residents to tour the city and vote for the People's Choice Award. The map includes a People's Choice Ballot with instructions; the deadline for submission is Dec. 26. The People's Choice Award winner will be announced in the Dec. 31 edition of the News Tribune.
