Two Eldon residents were hurt in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Johnson County in western Missouri.
Patrol reports show the crash occurred on Business 13 at County Road SE 190 around 12:10 p.m.
A vehicle driven by Curtis Sartin, 54, of Osceola, went off the right side of the road, struck a ditch then struck a pedestrian, Cindy Stehmann, 39, of Warrensburg. The vehicle then struck a tree before coming to rest.
Sartin was pronounced dead at the scene, and Stehmann later died at a local hospital.
Sartin's passengers, Tabitha May, 30, and William Whitehurst, 24, both of Eldon, were treated for moderate and serious injuries, respectively.
None of the those in Sartin's vehicle were wearing seat belts.
