Jefferson City Rotaract's Sixth Annual Kicks in the Sticks Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday at Binder Lake in Jefferson City. Gates open at 4 p.m., with the first race beginning at 5:30 p.m. and food, drinks, and entertainment continuing until 8 p.m. Participants should report to the northwest corner of the lake at the bait shop.
Participants can choose from one of three courses that run through the wooded trails of Binder Park: a 1.2-mile walk, a 3.5-mile run and a 7.5-mile run.
Proceeds from the event benefit The HALO Foundation and The Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri.
Registration is open online at KicksInTheSticks.com. All racers receive free admission to the after-party, including food from Theo's Midtown, unlimited refills on drinks, and live music from Green's Blues Band. Participants will also take home a commemorative T-shirt from the evening, and race winners will receive awards created by children at The HALO Foundation.
Community members can purchase after-party tickets for $10.
