Korean War seminar Tuesday night at MRRL

Community members will have the opportunity Tuesday to commemorate the services of local Korean War veterans and their families during a seminar discussion on the Korean War.

Operation Bugle Boy and the Missouri River Regional Library is hosting a seminar titled "Remembering the Forgotten War." Retired Lt. Col. Stephen Tharp, a Jefferson City native, will be the keynote speaker.

"We are blessed Lt. Col. Tharp is coming all the way from Seoul, South Korea to help us honor the services and sacrifices of local Korean War veterans," said Chris Jarboe, president of Operation Bugle Boy.

During Tharp's four-day visit, he will also speak to students at some area high schools.

The event starts at 7 p.m. in the second floor art gallery at the MRRL in Jefferson City.
