Holiday closings on Monday

Because of Sunday's Christmas Day holiday, all federal, state, county and municipal offices will be closed Monday - except for law enforcement and emergency services.

The Jefferson City's JeffTran buses won't run Monday.

The State Archives, 600 W. Main St., are closed Saturday and Monday.

The U.S. Postal Service will close its window service at noon Saturday and be closed all day Monday, at both the Main Post Office, 131 W. High St., and at the Capitol View Station, 1750 Jefferson St., then resume window service Tuesday. There will be no home deliveries or mailbox collections Monday, although Express Mail, Priority-Special Deliveries and Amazon deliveries will be made as needed.

The Missouri River, Daniel Boone and Heartland Regional libraries all will be closed Saturday through Monday.

Because the holiday is Monday, there will be no change to Republic Services' trash and recycling collection schedules through the week, with all collections on their regularly scheduled days.

The city's yard-waste dropoff site, 2417 Southridge Drive, will be closed Saturday and Sunday.

The News Tribune won't publish a Monday newspaper, and our offices will be closed. Publication will resume and the business offices will reopen on Tuesday.
