3 hurt in Friday night accidents in Mid-Missouri

A Sunrise Beach man received serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident Friday night.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said Malcolm D. May, 21, Sunrise Beach, was flown to University Hospital, Columbia, by helicopter, after his 2010 Dodge Journey ran off the left side of Missouri 5, hit a ditch and overturned about 9:45 p.m. Friday.

The hospital said Saturday it had no information it could release about May or his condition - or even if he was a patient at the hospital.

Investigators said May was not using a seatbelt.

The patrol said he was northbound on Missouri 5, just a quarter-mile north of the intersection with Missouri 7 at Greenview in Camden County, when the accident happened.

Two other Mid-Missourians were hurt in a separate accident about 17 minutes earlier - and 21 miles north.

Jessica L. Dollard, 22, Gravois Mills, was treated and released from St. Mary's Hospital after her 2016 Ford Focus hit the driver's side of a 1995 Ford F150 that turned in front of her.

The patrol said Dollard was southbound on Missouri 5 at 9:28 p.m. when Jacqueline M. Parrish, 18, Osage Beach, made a left turn from Route J in Morgan County, to head north on Missouri 5.

Troopers said Parrish wasn't hurt, but her passenger - Ethan E. Denman, 26, Versailles - received minor injuries.

The patrol said he was taken by a private vehicle to seek medical treatment, and no information was available about his condition.

The patrol said Denman was not using a seatbelt, but both Dollard and Parrish were.
