Court records show Wynn was charged in connection with a shots fired case from November 9. He was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and receiving stolen property.

According to a Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement, Wynn was identified as the person who fired shots in the 700 block of Monroe Street at 10:44 a.m.

Wynn was detained in the 500 block of Monroe, and officers recovered a handgun from his waistband. The gun was cocked and loaded with a round in the chamber. A shell casing was recovered, which matched the ammo found inside of the gun. A records check on the serial number for the gun found it had been stolen in Jefferson City in May.

When interviewed by authorities, Wynn admitted to shooting the gun. He said he encountered another individual, got into an altercation with this person and pulled the gun out and fired it.

Wynn said he purchased the gun from an unknown individual for $200 in September.

Prior to this, Wynn had been placed on five years supervised probation for pleading guilty to a charge in connection to thefts from vehicles in March 2015.

He was charged with one count of receiving stolen property.

Authorities said Wynn was among a group of individuals looking through unlocked motor vehicles in the 1800 block of West Main Street.

When officers contacted Wynn , they searched a book bag he was carrying and found several items inside that appeared to have been stolen, including a digital camera. They also found he was in possession of a driver's license that had been reported stolen.

When later questioned, Wynn admitted to going through numerous motor vehicles and taking items, and admitted to stealing a bicycle from an unknown location.

The value of the items taken was more than $500.
