Lake Regional Cares for Kids Festival set for Oct. 22

Families, make plans to attend the Lake Regional Cares for Kids Festival from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, in the hospital's main parking lot. A free hot dog lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Participants can tour the Lake Regional Emergency Department and take a look inside emergency vehicles, including a fire truck, ambulance and helicopter. Kids also can have fun with pumpkin painting, games, creating crafts, face painting and more activities. The first 200 children, ages 10 and under, will receive a free Lake Regional Cares for Kids T-shirt, and kids who wear costumes will be entered to win outdoor adventure packs.

Parents and caregivers can take advantage of car seat checks provided by the Camdenton Police Department. They also can interact with area EMS and fire personnel, and Lake Regional physicians, nurses and staff from Lake Regional Hospital, ENT & Audiology, Family Birth Center, Pharmacy, Rehab Therapy and Sports Medicine.
