A local woman recently began a breakfast burrito delivery service.
Amanda Jensen and her husband moved to Jefferson City from Colorado four years ago. Jensen said she missed Colorado-style breakfast burritos, which smother the burritos in green chilies.
La Chica Loca began delivering burritos on Thursday and Friday mornings July 2.
On Wednesday mornings, Jensen will make burritos at Three Story Coffee's Millbottom location on West Main Street from 7 a.m. until she runs.
Jensen said she opted to start a delivery service in lieu of a food stand because it can be hard to start mobile businesses in Jefferson City. She plans to work with other small businesses by working out of the same kitchen as Love2Nourish and MO Juice at 202 E. High St.
While her focus is on breakfast, Jensen ran a catering business in Colorado. If clients want more things, she said she's capable of making more types of food.
"Currently the focus is breakfast, but if someone wants to do a fancier spread, we're capable of that," she said.
