T.J. Maxx is planning a renovation of its Jefferson City store.
Building permits filed by the company and approved last Wednesday note the renovation will cost $220,000 for a "remodel/refresh" of the store. The permit did not list any other information about what alterations would be made at the 3535 Missouri Blvd. location in the Wildwood Crossing shopping complex.
A T.J. Maxx spokesperson and Jefferson City store manager both declined to comment.
T.J. Maxx parent company TJX Companies opened a HomeGoods store May 21 in the Wildwood Crossing shopping complex. The company invested $10,000 in renovations to that building. TJX Companies also own Marshalls and Sierra Trading Post.
Columbus, Ohio-based contractor Warren Laufer/Taylor Brothers Construction is listed as the general contractor for the T.J. Maxx renovation.
