Prep Baseball: St. Elizabeth 13, Bunceton/Prairie Home 0

PRAIRIE HOME -- The St. Elizabeth Hornets pitched seven players one inning each in a 13-0 win Thursday against Bunceton/Prairie Home.

Gavin Williams pitched the first inning, striking out two, then Nick Heckemeyer pitched the second and struck out all three batters he faced. Carter Otto took the mound for the third, striking out two, then Brady Kemna pitched the fourth and struck out one while walking one. Carter Reinkemeyer allowed one hit, while striking out one in the fifth, Brayden Kempker allowed a hit in the sixth and Sam Luetkemeyer struck out two in the seventh.

The team combined to throw 94 pitches.

Williams led the offense with three doubles and five RBI on a 3-for-5 day, while Isaac Green was 2-for-4 with an RBI sacrifice fly. Noah Chipman went 2-for-5 with two RBI and four stolen bases.

St. Elizabeth (3-3), ranked first in Class 1 in the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association preseason rankings, will host Fatima, ranked No. 6 in Class 3, in a Show-Me Conference matchup at 5 p.m. Monday.
