ROLLA -- The Capital City Lady Cavaliers lost 2-1 in penalty kicks Friday to the Rolla Lady Bulldogs.
Kassidy Loethen scored a goal for Capital City, drilling the ball into the top left corner of the goal from about 30 yards out for a 1-0 lead less than five minutes into the game.
Rolla scored its goal in the second half.
Following two scoreless overtime periods, the game went to penalty kicks, which went 12 rounds before Rolla outlasted Capital City for the victory.
Capital City (2-1) plays Monday at Warrenton.
In the JV game, Rolla defeated Capital City 3-1, dropping the Lady Cavaliers to 0-2-1.
