BUFFALO -- The Versailles Tigers improved to 3-1 in Ozark Highlands Conference play with Friday’s 15-1 win in five innings against the Buffalo Bison.
Versailles scored three or more runs in four of the five innings. Ty Ollison was 3-for-4, finishing a home run shy of hitting for the cycle, and also drove in three runs.
Zeke Miller had three hits, including a double, while Terry Schoolfield and Chase Shewmaker each had two hits. Reese Murdock and Joey Bertelli also drove in two runs each.
Ben Peck was the winning pitcher for the Tigers. In five innings, he allowed two runs on six hits with three walks and nine strikeouts.
Versailles (6-6) plays Monday at Windsor.
