NEW BLOOMFIELD -- The New Bloomfield Wildcats dropped a 16-2 decision in six innings Saturday to the Lone Jack Mules in the third-place game of the New Bloomfield Tournament.
Lone Jack scored seven runs in the first inning and six in the sixth inning to win by run rule.
New Bloomfield scored its runs in the fourth inning. Wyatt Jordan and Andrew Fouch each drew a walk with the bases loaded.
Matthew Killian had the Wildcats’ lone hit, a single in the fourth inning.
Brayden Carroll pitched the first four innings, finishing with one walk and four strikeouts.
New Bloomfield (8-4) hosts Eugene on Monday in Show-Me Conference play.
