MOBERLY -- The Jefferson City Lady Jays finished the Moberly Lady Spartan Invitational with two wins Saturday, beating Mid-Buchanan 2-1 in penalty kicks before defeating Boonville in a 3-0 final.
Katie Mullen scored the Lady Jays’ lone goal of the first game, getting an assist from Jaden Peters.
Lynzee Green scored the winning penalty kick in the seventh round of PKs for Jefferson City.
Mullen added another goal in Game 2, while Gracie Wilde and Hayli Twyman also recorded a goal each. Cassie Leary finished with the lone assist.
The Lady Jays finished the tournament with a 2-1 record.
Jefferson City (10-2) will be back in action at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hickman for a Central Missouri Activities Conference matchup.
