Fire destroys parked RV, damages nearby garage

No one was hurt when an RV caught fire Monday morning in Jefferson City.

Jefferson City Fire Department reports state crews were called around 8:55 a.m. to the 2100 block of Oakridge Drive.

The RV was parked next to an unattached garage. Both were behind the home, and there was fear about the fire spreading.

Fire crews were able to keep the fire away from the home, but the RV was destroyed, and the garage was heavily damaged.

No injuries were reported.

As of Monday afternoon, investigators were still trying to determine what caused the RV to catch fire.
