ELDON, Mo. - The Eldon Lady Mustangs were able to sneak by California on Saturday to win 47-41 in the Eldon Tournament title game.
Eldon led 11-10 after the first quarter but Mara Caudel of California hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Lady Pintos a 25-24 lead at halftime.
Eldon led 35-32 after three quarters.
Elizabeth Lutz of California scored a game-high 18 points.
Macie Halderman led the Lady Mustangs with 17 points. Hannah Green was close behind with 16.
California (10-8) will host Skyline (No. 3 in Class 2) on Monday.
Eldon's (13-5) next game will be a rematch against California on Thursday.
