COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - A 20-year-old man accused of making online threats against black students and faculty at the University of Missouri's Columbia campus has pleaded not guilty plea.
The Columbia Daily-Tribune (http://bit.ly/1OZ9dQe) reports that Hunter Park's lawyer entered the plea on Park's behalf Tuesday in Boone County Circuit Court.
Authorities say Park admitted to making threats that showed up Nov. 10 on the anonymous location-based messaging app Yik Yak. He was charged the next day with making a terrorist threat.
The threats came amid turmoil at the University of Missouri as students protested the handling of racial issues, and two top administrators stepped down.
Park is a former student at the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla. He's been on house arrest in Lake St. Louis since his release on bond.
