SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - A 53-year-old Springfield maintenance worker has died after an accident at the city landfill.
A news release from the city says 53-year-old John Wesley Choate died Wednesday after the accident at the Springfield Landfill. The release says Springfield police are investigating the incident, but the cause of death hasn't been released.
The Springfield News-Leader reports (http://sgfnow.co/1QWuWuQ) the city says Choate worked for the city since 2008.
The Department of Environmental Services, which oversees the landfill, will also conduct a review of the incident.
