JOPLIN - Missouri Southern's Melanie Bower placed third in the pole vault in the Missouri Southern Invitational that took place Friday and Saturday.
Bower (Linn High School) cleared 12-11 1/2, a provisional qualifying mark for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships.
