NEWBURG, Mo. - The St. Elizabeth Lady Hornets picked up their fourth win in their last six games Saturday afternoon, topping Vienna 40-28 in the fifth-place game at the Newburg Tournament.
St. Elizabeth led 13-5 after one quarter and 16-12 at the half. The Lady Hornets stretched their advantage to 31-20 after three quarters.
Shanley Kliethermes finished with a game-high 16 points for St. Elizabeth.
Kayla Struemph pulled down 11 rebounds for the winners.
St. Elizabeth (6-12) will host Iberia on Monday. There will be a two-quarter JV game starting at 6 p.m.
