ST. LOUIS (AP) - A man who once had his St. Louis homes searched by federal agents for hidden explosive devices has been sentenced to 366 days in prison on a single federal gun charge.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1PYjVft) reports that 54-year-old David Michael Hagler was sentenced Thursday as part of a plea agreement. He pleaded guilty in November to a machine gun possession charge.
Hagler's neighboring homes were searched last March after he was charged with several gun charges. Ankur Patel, a St. Louis-based FBI agent, wrote at the time that two informants told law enforcement that Hagler's anti-government views were intensifying, accounting for his stockpile of assault-style rifles and 10,000 rounds of ammunition.
No explosive devices were found in the homes.
Hagler has already served about 10 months in jail.
