Absentee voting for primary begins today in Missouri

Absentee voting begins today for the March 15 Presidential Preference Primary Election in Missouri.

Voting can be done at the Cole County Clerk's Office on the second floor of the courthouse annex.

Those who would like to make an application for a family member in the Armed Forces, college or confined to the home due to illness or physical disability should do so, as soon as possible, so the ballots have ample time to get back to the clerk's office by March 15.

All ballots mailed out by the clerk must be received by 7 p.m. on primary day.

The last day to mail out an absentee ballot is Wednesday, March 9, until 5 p.m.

The clerk's office will be open Saturday, March 12, from 8 a.m.-noon for those wishing to vote absentee. The deadline for voting absentee in the clerk's office is 5 p.m. Monday, March 14.

The last day to register to vote for the primary is Feb. 17.

Residents can refer to the clerk's website for a sample ballot or a voter registration application at colecounty.org/clerk.

Anyone with questions can call the clerk's office at 634-9101.
