Hundreds of people lined the streets of Eldon as they celebrated the 30th annual Turkey Festival Saturday.

A prelude to the event was the crowning of Little Mr. and Miss Gobble and Little Mr. and Miss Turkey on Friday at Eldon South Elementary. Saturday kicked off with the 5K Turkey Trot and Gobble Wobble followed by a parade. Three stages and more than 200 vendors provided entertainment and activities throughout the day.

Additional activities were going on throughout the town, including the Quilts of Valor and Art Show, a championship turkey caller who performed more than 100 wild animal sounds and the Eldon Fire Auxiliary's second annual Five-Alarm Chili Cook-off, where guests could pay $5 to taste chili made by the local fire department and then vote for their favorite.

Closing the the annual event was a Demolition Derby sponsored by Eldon's SkillsUSA at the fairgrounds.
