COLUMBIA - Missouri freshman defensive lineman Terry Beckner Jr. was involved in a car accident at approximately 4 p.m. Friday at the intersection of College and University avenues. Redshirt freshman receivers DeSean Blair and Keyon Dilosa and redshirt freshman tailback Trevon Walters were passengers in Beckner's car, according to a release from the Missouri athletic department.
Blair and Walters were transported to University Hospital, and Beckner and Dilosa were treated and released at the scene. None of the injuries were life threatening.
According to the Columbia Fire Department, five individuals were transported to University Hospital for precautionary injuries: two males from one vehicle and a woman and two young minors from a second vehicle.
The players' status for today's game against Connecticut is unknown. Beckner, Blair and Dilosa have played in every game this year, with Dilosa starting Missouri's season opener and Beckner being listed as a co-starter for Missouri's game at Arkansas State. Walters has missed both games with a knee injury sustained in the spring. Head coach Gary Pinkel said Monday he thought Walters might be able to return in mid-October.

Beckner, a graduate of East St. Louis (Ill.), is one of the highest-rated recruits from Missouri's latest class.
In June, Missouri lost defensive tackle Harold Brantley to season-ending injuries suffered in a car accident on southbound U.S. 63.
