WARDSVILLE, Mo. - After the Blair Oaks Falcons and Eldon Mustangs combined for 109 points in their regular-season meeting, most were expecting similar fireworks in Friday's playoff matchup.

The Falcons did their part, but unfortunately for the Mustangs, their offense never materialized in the Class 3 District 6 semifinal contest.

Jordan Hair completed 21-of-23 passes for a whopping 457 yards and seven touchdowns to lead Blair Oaks to a surprisingly easy 58-6 victory at the Falcon Athletic Complex.

Adam Schell hauled in eight passes for 213 of those yards and four touchdowns, while C.J. Closser had 10 catches for 207 yards and three scores as the Falcons moved to 11-0.

Blair Oaks, the top seed in the district, will host second-seeded Fulton (9-2) at 7 p.m. Friday in the district title game. The Hornets advanced to the matchup by outlasting sixth-seeded Southern Boone 61-48 on Friday.

The Falcons set the tone for the night by taking the opening kickoff and marching 80 yards in eight plays, capped off by a 15-yard scoring pass from Hair to Closser. Cody Alexander ran in the 2-point conversion and it was 8-0 just 2:11 into the game.

Blair Oaks got its other score of the first quarter when Hair ripped off a 23-yard run, and Alexander's 2-point run made it 16-0 with 2:51 left.

By the end of the first quarter, Hair had already completed 12-of-14 passes for 168 yards, and Closser had eight catches for 113 yards.

The Falcons kept the pressure up in the second quarter, tacking on four touchdowns.

The first one came just :08 into the period, as Hair and Schell hooked up for a 36-yard score.

After the Mustangs went three-and-out, the Falcons needed just three plays to score, as Closser took a pass from Hair 66 yards to the end zone. The 2-point run by Alexander put the lead at 30-0.

Eldon then lost a fumble on the very next play and Blair Oaks scored two plays after that on a 35-yard pass from Hair to Schell that made it 36-0 with 7:17 left before intermission.

Then with 2:39 remaining in the half, Schell scored on a 41-yard pass from Hair when he took a short throw, stiff-armed one would-be tackler and slipped free of the tackle attempt of another. After Hair hit Schell with a 2-point pass, it was 44-0.

At halftime, Blair Oaks had an edge of 415-86 in total yardage.

The entire second half was played with a running clock due to the mercy rule.

Hair added two more touchdown throws in the third quarter - one from 28 yards out to Closser at the 8:17 mark and the other from 27 yards out to Schell with 5:16 left. Paul Karsten kicked both PATs to provide the final points for the Falcons.

Eldon got its only score with 9:57 left in the fourth on a 1-yard run by Nick Hendrix.

The Falcons outgained the Mustangs 498-240, as they rushed the ball 19 times for 41 yards to go with the 457 yards through the air.

Eldon (7-4) completed 5-of-13 passes for 93 yards and ran the ball 37 times for 147. Levi Shinn was the Mustangs' leading ballcarrier with 17 attempts for 88 yards.
