Parts of Interstate 70 in Boone and Callaway Counties will be resurfaced during the 2016 construction season, according to a news release from the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT).
The release states that the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission recently approved a contract to improve pavement in the eastbound and westbound lanes between Lake of the Woods in the eastern part of Columbia and the county line for Boone and Callaway from Kingdom City to the county line for Callaway and Montgomery.
The commission awarded contractor that submitted the lowest bid of about $6.15 million - Chester Bross Construction Company of Boonville - the contract to mill, resurface and replace pavement in those areas.
