Jefferson City man charged in attack on woman

A Jefferson City man is facing multiple charges in a sexual assault case.

Court records show Wayne Ivory Jr., 26, of 907 Cedar Way, is charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, two counts of second-degree domestic assault and false imprisonment.

A Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement shows the incident occurred Monday morning in the 1000 block of East Cedar Way.

The victim had agreed to pick up Ivory and take him to his home.

While driving, he asked the victim to pull over and after she did, he asked her to have sex with him.

When she said no, Ivory forced the victim into the backseat of her vehicle and forcibly removed her clothing and then forced her to have sex.

The victim said after the assault, she was unable to open the rear door of her vehicle, so she kicked out a window and fled on foot.

Ivory pursued the victim and tackled her to the ground. He then choked her to the point the victim said she felt she lost consciousness for a brief time.

When she awoke, Ivory was standing over her. The victim got up and ran to her vehicle to flee from Ivory, but once she got inside, Ivory got in the car so she exited the vehicle again.

The victim then fell to the ground, and Ivory jumped into the driver's seat and ran over the victim's legs with the vehicle.

After that, the victim said Ivory put her in the vehicle and forced her to go to her mother's home until he allowed her to leave.

Officers were able to locate the victim's clothing and pieces of hair in the area where the attack occurred.

The victim's injuries were consistent with her story of the assault.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where medical personnel told authorities the victim's injuries to her lower legs and rectum were consistent with her story.

Officers found Ivory at his residence Monday afternoon.

When interviewed, Ivory said he was having consensual intercourse with the victim, but admitted he didn't stop having intercourse even after she told him no. Ivory admitted to being involved in a domestic assault with the victim, but said he did not run over her with her vehicle.

Court documents indicate Ivory has an extensive criminal history, including being on parole for burglary and receiving stolen property.

As of Tuesday, Ivory was being held in the Cole County Jail on $250,000 bond.
