COLUMBIA, Mo. - Zach Rockers opened the season with a double-double Friday night as Columbia College defeated Cumberland 78-53 in the Cougars vs. Cancer Tip-Off Classic.
Rockers (Helias High School) totaled 17 points and a game-high 13 rebounds for the Cougars, who won their opening game for the ninth straight season.
Columbia College, ranked No. 16 in the NAIA preseason top 25, will meet Culver-Stockton at 7 p.m. today in the Classic.
