Your Opinion: Laws needed at Lake

Dear Editor:

As a resident and property owner at the Lake of the Ozarks I support any legislation having to do with the Lake of the Ozarks that imposes limits on noise, size of wakes and speed and limits on the size of boats and motors.

People are being killed and injured. Expensive repairs are necessary annually to keep the shoreline, docks and boats in good repair. At times it is not possible to hear each other talk when trying to relax or dine outdoors. The noise is bad indoors as well.

Visitors are getting the message. The Lake of the Ozarks is a dangerous place for a vacation. There is no excuse for the noise made by a few loud boats that make life miserable for everyone else and for wakes that kill, injure and damage.
