Five Rivers Boy Scouts district appoints new chairman

Chris Wood, a Jefferson City banking executive, took over as district chairman for the Boy Scouts of America's Five Rivers District.

Wood works with the District Committee to ensure scout units in the district, which includes Cole, Osage, Maries, Moniteau and Gasconade counties, have a quality program.

He joins Bonnie Keearns, the district commissioner, and Kelsey Huston, the district executive, as part of the Key Three leadership team.

Wood, who earned his Eagle Scout award in 1996, is senior vice president at Jefferson Bank and head of the Residential Lending Center. He lives in Jefferson City with his wife and three children.
