The Jefferson City Lady Jays claimed team honors while the Jays finished second Saturday in the Class 5 District 6 Track and Field Championships on Licklider Track at Adkins Stadium.
The Lady Jays won six events and posted a team total of 155 points. Blue Springs was second with 149, while Blue Springs South was third with 106.
Four of Jefferson City's individual wins came in field events - Nicole Martin in the high jump, Emma Elwood in the pole vault, Lexie Stull in the triple jump and Alexis Roberson in the shot put. Haley Watson was first for the Lady Jays in the 300-meter hurdles, while the 4x100-meter relay team also won its event.
On the boys side, Jefferson City finished with 107 points. Blue Springs was first with 179, while Blue Springs South was third with 94.
Jefferson City got three victories in middle-distance events.
Jackson Schwartz was a double-winner for the Jays, taking first in the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs. Jacob Gourley of Jefferson City won the 800-meter dash.
The top four finishers in each event advance to next Saturday's sectional at Eldon.
The Lady Jays qualified in 11 events, while the Jays advanced in eight.
