Hays leaving Fatima for job at Rockwood Summit

One of the area's top girls basketball coaches has a new job.

Dustin Hays, who been at Fatima for the past seven seasons, has been named head coach at Rockwood Summit High School in Fenton.

The Rockwood Summit school board approved the hiring at a meeting Thursday night.

Hays has been the head coach of the Lady Comets for the past five seasons, leading Fatima to a 104-31 overall record and a 25-3 mark this season.

In the 2013-14 season, the Lady Comets advanced to the Class 3 quarterfinals and finished with a record of 23-6.

Rockwood Summit, which finished 13-11 last season in girls basketball, is a Missouri Class 5 school and a member of South Division in the Suburban XII Conference.

Hays is also an assistant coach for the Comets baseball team.
