Jays freshman baseball splits doubleheader with Battle

COLUMBIA - The Jefferson City freshman team split a doubleheader with Battle on Monday, winning 7-2 before losing 10-0.

Joseph Travis and Tyler Bise combined for the win on the mound in the opener and Reese Neighbors had a pair of hits.

Jefferson City mustered just three hits in the nightcap.

The Jays (16-13) will play Wednesday at Sedalia Smith-Cotton.
