Falcons baseball C team takes two

MOKANE - The Blair Oaks C team defeated South Callaway twice Monday, needing just five innings both times.

In the opener, a 11-2 win, the Falcons were led by Tyler Gish, who picked up a complete-game win on the mound by allowing just two runs - one earned - on four hits and six strikeouts.

At the plate, Gish had two hits, an RBI and scored a run.

Austin Veltrop contributed three hits, two RBI and two runs. Nick Lock tallied three hits and two RBI. Steven Drake had two hits, two runs and an RBI.

The Falcons won the second game 10-6. Bryce Kempker started and took the win, allowing four runs - three earned - on one hit and a strikeout in 21/3 innings. Tim Fick threw 22/3 innings of relief, allowing two runs - one earned - on three hits and two strikeouts.

Sam Dudenhoeffer had three hits, an RBI and a run. Hunter Herigon had two hits, two RBI and a run scored. Colton Hoelscher also had two hits and drove in one.

Blair Oaks (8-13) hosts Southern Boone at 5 p.m. today.
