TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - With Patrick Schnieders leading the way, the Evansville Purple Aces notched a 7-3 win against Indiana State on Saturday.
Schnieders (Fatima High School) improved to 2-3 on the season by scattering eight hits across the first six innings. He allowed three runs (two earned) while walking three and striking out two.
For the season, Schnieders has an ERA of 4.37 in eight appearances, giving up 21 hits while striking out 19 in 222/3 innings of work.
Evansville followed that up with a 9-7 win against Indiana State on Sunday, moving the Purple Aces to 12-11 on the season and 3-3 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
