Missouri State falls in WNIT

On Friday night

SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State dropped a 78-72 decision Friday night to Tulsa in the opening round of the Women's NIT.

Tyonna Snow finished with 29 points for the Lady Bears, while Liza Fruendt added 10 points off the bench.

Ashley Clark and Kelsee Grovey had 22 points each to lead Tulsa (18-13). Mariah Turner and Kadan Brady each added 11.

Missouri State, which led 39-33 at the half, was up 49-39 with 17:18 remaining in the game. Tulsa began to chip away at the deficit, using a 7-0 run late in the game to take a 73-68 lead.

Missouri State ends its season at 18-15.
