GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Quinn Cook scored 15 points and No. 2 Duke routed North Carolina State 77-53 on Thursday night in the Atlantic Coast Conference quarterfinals.

Backup center Marshall Plumlee added a career-high 12 points on six dunks to help the second-seeded Blue Devils (29-3) win their 12th straight.

They never trailed, scored on 22 of their first 26 possessions, led by 30 and cruised into the semifinals by avenging their first loss this season.

Duke will face Notre Dame in the semifinals.

Ralston Turner had 16 points and Abdul-Malik Abu added 10 for the seventh-seeded Wolfpack (20-13).

NO. 3 VIRGINIA 58, FLORIDA STATE 44

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Mike Tobey and Evan Nolte each scored 11 points and Virginia held on to beat Florida State in the Atlantic Coast Conference quarterfinals.

Malcolm Brodgon scored all 10 of his points in the second half for the top-seeded and defending tournament champion Cavaliers (29-2). They will face No. 19 North Carolina in the semifinals.

Virginia welcomed back key guard Justin Anderson from injury. Anderson had missed eight games after breaking his finger and then undergoing an appendectomy.

The junior checked in to applause with 15:22 left in the first half, and he went down hard when his only shot of the half was blocked by Jarquez Smith with about 2:15 remaining. He played three minutes in the second half and did not score, finishing 0 for 2 with two rebounds.

Xavier Rathan-Mayes had 13 points for the ninth-seeded Seminoles (17-16).

NO. 4 VILLANOVA 84, MARQUETTE 49

NEW YORK (AP) - Big East Sixth Man of the Year Josh Hart scored 20 points off the bench, and Villanova beat Marquette in the Big East quarterfinals.

The Wildcats (30-2) lost to Seton Hall in the quarters on a last-second shot last year. This one was over much earlier as Villanova made 17 of 29 3-point attempts to win its 13th straight.

Villanova will face fourth-seeded Providence in the semifinals.

Ninth-seeded Marquette (13-19) routed Seton Hall 78-56 on Wednesday night.

NO. 5 ARIZONA 73, CALIFORNIA 51

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Stanley Johnson had 19 points and Brandon Ashley added 15, lifting Arizona past California in the Pac-12 quarterfinals.

Top-seeded Arizona (29-3) had trouble shaking the Bears in a rough first half before taking control with a run early in the second. The Wildcats will face the UCLA in the semfinals.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson had 10 points, six rebounds and was the catalyst for Arizona's defense. T.J. McConnell added 13 points and six rebounds for the Wildcats.

Tyrone Wallace had 19 points for Cal (18-15).

NO. 9 KANSAS 64, TCU 59

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Kelly Oubre Jr. scored a career-high 25 points, Landen Lucas added 13 and Kansas beat TCU in the Big 12 quarterfinals.

With scoring leader Perry Ellis sidelined by a knee injury, the top-seeded Jayhawks (25-7) had to sweat out all 40 minutes against the ninth-seeded seed Horned Frogs. It wasn't until Oubre got loose for a jam with a minute left that Kansas got some breathing room.

Trey Zeigler turned the ball over at the other end for TCU (18-15), and Kansas was able to run down the shot clock before Frank Mason III found Lucas for an alley-oop jam and a 63-57 lead with 30 seconds left. The Jayhawks will face No. 16 Baylor in the semifinals Friday night.

NO. 11 NOTRE DAME 70, MIAMI 63

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Steve Vasturia hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with 6:13 left and Notre Dame held off Miami after blowing a 20-point lead in the Atlantic Coast Conference quarterfinals.

Vasturia's 3 helped the Fighting Irish (27-5) survive a disastrous collapse in which the Hurricanes (21-12) came all the way back to take a two-point lead with 6 1/2 minutes left.

Vasturia finished with a team-high 16 points.

Angel Rodriguez led Miami with 15 points.

NO. 13 IOWA STATE 69, TEXAS 67

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Monte Morris rose up and hit an 18-foot jumper at the buzzer, capping a 12-0 closing run that lifted Iowa State past Texas in the Big 12 quarterfinals.

Morris finished with 24 points for the second-seeded Cyclones (23-8), who trailed by 16 points before clawing back into the game. Georges Niang added 22 points for the defending tournament champion Cyclones, who advanced to play Oklahoma in the semifinals Friday night.

Jonathan Holmes had 15 points for Texas (20-13)

NO. 15 OKLAHOMA 64, OKLAHOMA STATE 49

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Buddy Hield scored 22 points, TaShawn Thomas added 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Oklahoma beat Oklahoma State in the Big 12 quarterfinals.

Jordan Woodard added 11 points and Isaiah Cousins had 10 for the third-seeded Sooners (22-9), who beat the No. 6 seed Cowboys (18-13) for the seventh time in their last eight meetings.

Le'Bryan Nash had 27 points and 12 rebounds for Oklahoma State, which may have needed a win or two in the Big 12 tournament to feel good about its chances on Selection Sunday.

NO. 19 NORTH CAROLINA 70, NO. 14 LOUISVILLE 60

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Brice Johnson scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half and North Carolina outlasted Louisville in the Atlantic Coast Conference quarterfinals.

Marcus Paige added 13 points for the fifth-seeded Tar Heels (23-10).

Terry Rozier scored 20 points for fourth-seeded Louisville (24-8).

NO. 16 BAYLOR 80, NO. 18 WEST VIRGINIA 70

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Taurean Prince scored 18 points, Royce O'Neale added 16 and Baylor pulled away to beat West Virginia in the Big 12 quarterfinals.

Rico Gathers added 14 points and eight rebounds for the fourth-seeded Bears (24-8).

Devin Williams had 18 points and seven rebounds for fifth-seeded West Virginia (23-9). Jaysean Paige also had 18 points.

XAVIER 67, NO. 22 BUTLER 61, OT

NEW YORK (AP) - Jalen Reynolds converted a three-point play with 3:22 left in overtime to put Xavier ahead for good in a victory over Butler in the Big East quarterfinals.

Dee Davis, Myles Davis and Matt Stainbrook each scored 13 points for the sixth-seeded Musketeers (20-12). They will play 23rd-ranked Georgetown on Friday night.

Alex Barlow had a career-high 22 points for the third-seeded Bulldogs (22-10).

NO. 23 GEORGETOWN 60, CREIGHTON 55

NEW YORK (AP) - D'Vauntes Smith Rivera scored 25 points, including 12 of Georgetown's final 14, and the Hoyas beat Creighton in the Big East quarterfinals.

The junior guard took over in the last 5 minutes when the second-seeded Hoyas (21-9) finally took the lead for good over the upset-minded Bluejays, who finished last in the conference. His final points were two free throws with 3.2 seconds left.

James Milliken led 10th-seeded Creighton (14-19) with 17 points.

NO. 25 BOISE STATE 80, AIR FORCE 68

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nick Duncan hit seven 3-pointers and scored 23 points to help Boise State beat Air Force in the Mountain West Conference quarterfinals.

The top-seeded Broncos (25-7) will play Wyoming in the semifinals.

Marek Olesinski led Air Force (14-17) with 14 points.
