BATESVILLE, Ark. - The William Woods Owls dropped a 65-46 decision to Lyon College and lost Saturday night in the semifinals of the American Midwest Conference Tournament.
Kennedy Volkart (Russellville High School) racked up a team-high 15 points for William Woods and was the only Owl to reach double figures. She also had a game-high eight rebounds to go with two blocks, two steals and one assist.
The Owls, who dropped to 23-8 with the loss, have already secured an automatic bid to the NAIA Basketball Championship, which will begin March 18 in Independence.
