Missouri Furniture is expanding its bedding business by opening three America's Mattress stores in Central Missouri.
The first America's Mattress of Mid-Missouri location opened a little over a week ago in Columbia, and the Jefferson City store is set to open March 19 at 2525 Missouri Blvd. Suite D.
A third America's Mattress will open in Osage Beach within the next two months or so.
While Missouri Furniture already sells bedding and mattresses in its six existing stores - including one at 908 U.S. 54 in Jefferson City - the America's Mattress locations will allow customers more choices in brand and adjustable bases, which offer options like head and foot adjustments as well as massage settings.
"Bedding specialty stores have kind of been a hot topic. They (customers) want more variety, more choices than just what a furniture store can offer. It will offer about 10 more beds than we would have at a furniture store," said Missouri Furniture owner Dave Faiferlick. "The people in there can know more about just bedding because they won't have to know about the other furniture."
America's Mattress will offer the exclusive America's Mattress brand, as well as the Serta iComfort series, Serta Perfect Sleepers and Dr. Greene Sleep System line.
