8 injured in spate of 4 drive-by St. Louis shootings

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Shots fired from several vehicles have wounded eight people on St. Louis streets and highways.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1dStxGG) reports that the victims were wounded in four separate incidents. The first shooting occurred shortly before 8 p.m. Friday, and the violence continued through the early morning hours of Saturday.

Victims were shot along several roadways, including three people who were struck while westbound on Interstate 70. Police say a 19-year-old man was shot in the lower back as he stood in a parking lot. Also wounded were two women who were struck in their arms while in a car and a 20-year-old man who was driving another vehicle when he was hit in the wrist.

Police are investigating.
