Jefferson City woman on five years probation

A Jefferson City woman was placed on five years supervised probation for pleading guilty to charges in connection with a May 2014 drug raid.

Catherine Jean Martin, 53, was charged with four counts of distribution of a controlled substance in August and September 2012.

Martin was among 20 suspects arrested for distribution of controlled substances, including heroin, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, ecstasy and marijuana, along with other narcotics-related crimes.

The raid was conducted by the Missouri Highway Patrol, Cole County Sheriff's Department, Jefferson City Police Department and the Columbia Police Department.

The arrests are the result of a lengthy undercover investigation conducted by the patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control and the Mustang Drug Task Force.
