Some Like It Haute hopes its customers will like the boutique's new location in Old Munichburg.
The four-year-old Jefferson City shop, which specializes in women's clothing and accessories, will close its current location at 907 W. McCarty St. on Saturday, will be closed throughout February and will reopen in early March at 120 E. Dunklin St.
"I just wanted some new space, just a new feel. I like the idea of having the taller ceilings, and I like the old building. I think we'll be easier to find and we'll have a lot more recognition, a lot more foot traffic," said owner Cherie Morrow. "We've had a lot of people that for four years couldn't find us."
The new location will place Some Like It Haute right in the middle of the Old Munichburg business district, next door to Three Story Coffee, offering a chance for more interaction with neighboring businesses.
"We'll have more options of things to do while they're in that neighborhood," Morrow said. "Our customers will become their customers, and their customers will hopefully become my customers. I think it's really going to be a lot of fun."
The new location will also come with new products in addition to Some Like It Haute's current stock of clothing, handbags, jewelry and other accessories.
"The best of what we had at our old location we'll have at our new location," Morrow said. "We're going to branch out into some gift items."
Some new items to expect include a line of all-natural, allergen-free personal care products, as well as an array of cat-themed merchandise.
Some Like It Haute's current inventory clearance sale will continue through the end of this week, with all remaining merchandise priced at a 50 to 75 percent discount.
When the boutique reopens in its new location, it also will add a day to its operating hours, open 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.
