COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Tyler Ulis put No. 1 Kentucky ahead with a 3-pointer deep in double overtime and the Wildcats stayed unbeaten, holding off Texas A&M 70-64 on Saturday.

It was tied at 63 when Ulis hit the shot with 1:26 left for his first points. Kentucky (15-0, 2-0 Southeastern Conference) was coming off an overtime victory over Mississippi on Tuesday night.

The Aggies (9-5, 0-2) rallied in the final minutes of regulation.

Trey Lyles made two foul shots with 6 seconds left in the first overtime for Kentucky, and Texas A&M took its time before missing a long 3 at the buzzer.

Devin Booker led Kentucky with 18 points, Aaron Harrison had 12 and Andrew Harrison nine.

Danuel House led Texas A&M with 25 points.

NO. 18 NORTH CAROLINA 72, NO. 5 LOUISVILLE 71

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - Marcus Paige hit a scooping layup with 8.5 seconds left to help North Carolina rally to beat Louisville.

Paige's layup capped a frantic comeback from 13 down in the final 8 1/2 minutes for the Tar Heels (12-4, 2-1 Atlantic Coast Conference). North Carolina survived two shots for the win - a 3-pointer from Wayne Blackshear and an off-balance stickback attempt from Rozier - on the wild final-play sequence.

Paige, a preseason all-American mired in a slow start to the season, finished with 10 points on 4-for-12 shooting and shook off a right ankle injury that sidelined him briefly after halftime.

Rozier scored 25 points for Louisville (14-2, 2-1).

NO. 3 VIRGINIA 62, NO. 13 NOTRE DAME 56

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Darion Atkins scored 14 points, Malcolm Brogdon and Justin Anderson hit key baskets in the final 4 minutes and Virginia outscored Notre Dame 9-3 down the stretch.

The Irish tied it at 53 when Jerian Grant scored in the paint. But Notre Dame then missed four shots before Demetrius Jackson hit a 3-pointer with a second left.

Atkins hit a 3-pointer to give the Cavaliers (15-0, 4-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) the lead as they improved their record against the Irish (15-2, 3-1) to 8-1.

Pat Connaughton led the Irish with 21 points. They had won 11 in a row.

NO. 6 GONZAGA 79, SANTA CLARA 57

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP)- Przemek Karnowski scored 18 points and Kyle Wiltjer added 16 to help Gonzaga beat Santa Clara for its ninth straight victory.

Kevin Pangos scored 13 points and Domantas Sabonis and Byron Wesley had 11 each for Gonzaga (16-1, 5-0 West Coast). Gonzaga has won 34 straight home games, second-longest streak in the nation after Duke's 41-game run. The Bulldogs have beaten the Broncos nine consecutive times since 2011.

Matt Hubbard scored 15 points for cold-shooting Santa Clara (7-10, 2-4).

NO. 8 VILLANOVA 81, DEPAUL 64

VILLANOVA, Pa. (AP) - Darrun Hilliard scored 21 points, Ryan Arcidiacono added 14 and Villanova halted DePaul's quick Big East start.

The Wildcats (15-1, 3-1) shot 53.6 percent from the field and 44.8 percent from 3-point range against the Blue Demons (9-8, 3-1), who came into the contest alone in first place after three surprising wins.

Villanova made a season-high 13 3-pointers on 29 attempts, with Hilliard and Arcidiacono leading the way with four apiece. Tommy Hamilton led the Blue Demons with 12 points.

OKLAHOMA STATE 69, NO. 10 TEXAS 58

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Le'Bryan Nash and Phil Forte each scored 20 points and Oklahoma State stopped Texas.

Nash had eight points during a 2-minute spurt early in the second half. Forte made back-to-back 3-pointers later in that same 12-3 run for Oklahoma State (12-3, 2-1 Big 12).

Myles Turner had 18 points, six rebounds and five blocked shots for Texas (12-4, 1-2). The Longhorns have lost three of their last five games.

Oklahoma State, in the midst of playing four straight ranked Big 12 teams, limited Texas to 21-of-61 shooting (34.4 percent).

NO. 11 MARYLAND 69, PURDUE 60

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) - Jake Layman scored 14 points and Maryland bounced back from a loss to beat Purdue.

Dez Wells had 13 points and Melo Trimble and Richaud Pack each added 11 for the Terrapins (15-2, 3-1 Big Ten), coming off a 64-57 loss at Illinois on Wednesday night.

Kendall Stephens led Purdue (10-7, 2-2) with 14 points.

NO. 12 KANSAS 86, TEXAS TECH 54

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) - Perry Ellis scored 15 points, Kelly Oubre Jr. added 14 and Kansas remained perfect at home against Texas Tech.

Cliff Alexander added 12 points and Frank Mason III had 10 as the Jayhawks (13-2, 2-0 Big 12) improved to 15-0 against the Red Raiders (10-6, 0-3) at cozy Allen Fieldhouse. The average margin of victory in those contests has been close to 30 points per game.

Kansas has won 16 straight overall at the Phog.

Justin Jamison had a career-high 12 points off the bench for the Red Raiders.

NO. 17 IOWA STATE 74, NO. 14 WEST VIRGINIA 72

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Abdel Nader scored 19 points to lead Iowa State past West Virginia.

For the second time in four days, Iowa State (12-2, 2-0 Big 12) won a game that came down to the final seconds. The Cyclones beat Oklahoma State 63-61 on Tuesday night after Dustin Hogue blocked Tavarius Shine's 3-point try with under a second left.

Leading scorer Georges Niang had his best game in nearly a month with 16 points for the Cyclones. Hogue added 11 points.

Juwan Staten scored 23 points for West Virginia (14-2, 2-1). Devin Williams had 14 points and 15 rebounds.

KANSAS STATE 66, NO. 16 OKLAHOMA 63, OT

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Marcus Foster forced overtime with a floater, and hit a 3-pointer with 4 seconds left in the extra period to lift Kansas State past Oklahoma.

Stephen Hurt scored a season-high 15 points, and Foster had 14 for the Wildcats (9-7, 2-1 Big 12).

Buddy Hield scored a career-high 31 points for Oklahoma (11-4, 2-1). He made a layup with 28 seconds remaining in overtime to tie it before Foster's shot. TaShawn Thomas had 14 points and 11 rebounds.

NO. 19 SETON HALL 68, CREIGHTON 67

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Sterling Gibbs made a 3-pointer with 2.1 seconds left to lift Seton Hall past Creighton.

James Milliken's 3-point try at the buzzer bounced off the rim, sending Creighton to a fifth straight loss for the first time since 1996-97.

Gibbs bounced back from an eight-point night in a loss to Xavier to score 22 points, making 4 of 8 3-pointers. Khadeen Carrington had 11 points and Brandon Mobley matched his career high with 13 rebounds for the Pirates (13-3, 3-1 Big East). Milliken had 20 points in his first start for the Bluejays (9-8, 0-4).

NO. 20 VCU 89, SAINT JOSEPH'S 74

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Melvin Johnson scored 20 points and VCU beat Saint Joseph's to extend its winning streak to eight games.

Treveon Graham added 19 points for the Rams (13-3, 3-0 Atlantic 10), who made Shaka Smart just the seventh coach in Division I history to win 150 games in his first six seasons. Smart is 150-49.

DeAndre Bembry scored 16 points for Saint Joseph's (6-8, 0-3).

NO. 21 BAYLOR 66, TCU 59, OT

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Rico Gathers had 17 points and 18 rebounds to lead Baylor to its first Big 12 Conference win of the season.

The Bears (12-3, 1-2) won their sixth straight over TCU - all since the Horned Frogs joined the Big 12 - but the previous five wins were by an average of 20.8 points.

Taurean Prince scored 17 points, including Baylor's only two field goals in overtime, but fouled out with 1:33 to go in the extra period. When Kenny Chery hit two free throws with 46.7 seconds left to make it 61-56, it gave the Bears their largest lead to that point. Chery finished with 13 points.

Kyan Anderson led TCU (13-3, 0-3) with 16 points.

INDIANA 69, NO. 22 OHIO STATE 66

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) - Troy Williams had 15 points and 12 rebounds, and Indiana held off Ohio State.

Indiana led 61-51 with 3:32 left before the Buckeyes rallied. Ohio State went on a 13-4 run and had a chance to tie it with 32 seconds to go when Sam Thompson made a shot and was fouled, but he missed the free throw. Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell then made four foul shots for the Hoosiers. A 3-point try by Ohio State's D'Angelo Russell missed at the end.

James Blackmon Jr. scored 16 of 18 points in the second half for the Hoosiers (12-4, 2-1 Big Ten). Shannon Scott scored 16 points for Ohio State (13-4, 2-2).

NO. 23 ARKANSAS 82, VANDERBILT 70

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Bobby Portis had a season-high 32 points and Arkansas beat Vanderbilt to improve to 2-0 in the Southeastern Conference for the first time since the 2007-08 season.

Off to their best start since the 2004-04 season, the Razorbacks (13-2, 2-0) have won seven in a row and 16 straight at home.

Portis was 13 of 18 from the field and also had 11 rebounds. Michael Qualls added 20 points for Arkansas.

Damian Jones and Matthew Fisher-Davis each had 14 points to lead Vanderbilt (11-4, 1-1).

WESTERN KENTUCKY 72, NO. 25 OLD DOMINION 65

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - George Fant had 24 points and 13 rebounds for Western Kentucky.

Old Dominion (13-2, 2-1 Conference USA) had won 10 in a row. This was its first week as a ranked team.

Fant had 20 points and 10 rebounds in the first half and the Hilltoppers (10-5, 3-0) snapped a nine-game losing streak to ranked opponents dating to 2009.

Chris Harrison-Docks had 19 points and T.J. Price added 15 for Western Kentucky.

Trey Freeman led ODU with 20 points.
