OWENSVILLE - Colten Mason hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lead the Steelville Cardinals to a 54-53 win against the Linn Wildcats on Friday in the third-place game of the Owensville Tournament.
Linn trailed 18-13 after the first quarter, 31-21 at intermission and 41-29 after the third quarter before mounting a late comeback.
Alec Strope scored 18 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead the Wildcats. Blake Snyder finished with 15 points and five rebounds, while Ben Klebba added 12 points and six rebounds for Linn.
The Wildcats (3-7) will host Vienna at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
