JAMESTOWN, Mo. - The Tuscumbia Lady Lions used a big second half Wednesday night to defeat the Chamois Lady Pirates 67-45 in the semifinals of the Class 1 District 9 Tournament.
Tuscumbia, which led 17-12 after one quarter and 31-27 at the half, outscored Chamois 19-8 in the third quarter to take a 50-35 advantage into the final period.
TaKayla Gunter finished with a game-high 24 points for the top-seeded Lady Lions. Kendra Vaughan added 16, while Tempary Gunter totaled 14.
Paige Nolte had 18 points to lead fifth-seeded Chamois (16-10), while Cheyenne Hemeyer added 14.
Tuscumbia will take on Jamestown in the district final at 6 p.m. Friday.
Jamestown overcame a slow start in Wednesday night's second semifinal to defeat Prairie Home 59-57.
Prairie Home led 16-5 after one quarter and 26-19 at the half. Jamestown cut the deficit to 44-39 heading into the fourth quarter.
Alli Muri finished with 24 points to lead Jamestown, while Mackenize Strother added 15.
