Home Depot beats Street 4Q forecasts

ATLANTA (AP) - The Home Depot Inc. on Tuesday reported fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of $1.38 billion.

On a per-share basis, the Atlanta-based company said it had net income of $1.05. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to $1 per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 89 cents per share.

The home-improvement retailer posted revenue of $19.16 billion in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Analysts expected $18.67 billion, according to Zacks.

Home Depot expects full-year earnings to be $5.11 to $5.17 per share.
