The play shows the inner workings in the movie business and the problems that come up as seen through the eyes of the people involved. It shows what happens when all of the pieces needed to produce a movie do not come together and how the individuals have to scramble to get the job done or abandon the project completely.

According to director Jack Renner, there is humor in the show, but it is really a drama.

"You don't have to be an expert on movies to enjoy the show," Renner said.

The show is done in the round, which poses a challenge for all involved.

Renner said Scene One has presented smaller shows or vignettes in the round but not an entire show.

"Directing in the round is a process of keeping the actors moving at all times. You don't want their backs to the audience for more than a minute," Renner said. "The blocking is critical and one of the hardest things to accomplish."

Keith Enloe, who plays Bobby Gould, the head of production at a major Hollywood studio and who is responsible for finding scripts to bring to studio heads, said he has directed shows in the round and acted in shows that were three-fourths in the round but this is his first time totally in the round.

"I love doing it in the round. It gives the audiences a different experience and presents new perspectives." Enloe said. "You need to be engaging enough either by a turn of the head or shoulders or some other movement to keep yourself open to the audience."

Dan Zaiger, who plays Charlie, associate to Gould, said the show is challenging and doing it in the round brings out the best in the actors.

"In the round, you have to be open to the whole stage and constantly moving. It is harder to remember blocking at first until you are familiar with doing it," Zaiger said.

Zaigar also said working with Renner is a real delight. He challenges you to achieve your best.

Brad Jones is the assistant director and is helping Renner to keep the blocking solid along with making changes as they rehearse to keep everything together.

Rachel Steinmeier plays Karen, secretary to Gould.

"She really holds her own against Zaiger and Enloe," Renner said.

"There is some language in the show and people can judge for themselves what age group would be appropriate to see the show. We are having a good time producing the show and hope the audiences will enjoy it," Renner said.
