Your Opinion: Cole County road crews commended

Dear Editor:

I would like to say thanks to the Cole County road district for the prompt clearing of our road.

I live on Chaddsford Drive off South Country Club and outside the city limits. From the first time it snowed when I moved here in 2012 until this last snow, they get right on it and begin to work on keeping the road clear.

Chaddsford is a cul-de-sac and no outlet so I thought when I moved here, we would be last to get cleared but just the opposite is true. Even after it stops snowing and most is clear, they return to be sure they got everything.

I would especially like to say thanks to the two young men driving the snow plow truck Monday morning.

Someone who was scooping other driveways mistook my driveway for the curb and piled a bunch of snow there, making it impossible for me to get out.

When the guys with the truck came by this morning they took the time to scoop off the snow at the end of my driveway so I could get out.

Thanks again and keep up the good work.
